Introduction
Kia ora! My name is Carien (kind of pronounced as "kha-rene").
Fear and anxiety have become part of our modern life. However, recent advances in psychology have made it possible to manage and overcome this.
We will start off with analysing your current situation, exploring how anxiety, fear or a phobia impacts your life. Then we will set a clear goal and pathway, exploring how life would be if you were not struggling with this.
Then we will embark on various psychological therapeutic processes and it is my highest intention that you will live a life with more wellbeing.

Online therapy
Zoom is a secure medium for online therapy, but we can also use Skype or other telehealth options. Online therapy feels different, but it is as effective as in-person, and I invite you to be curious and open as to how effective it can be.Ideally, surround yourself with something that you find resourceful (pleasing to the eye), such as a beautiful object, or have a scarf or favourite pillow close. I will talk us through the ethical considerations of going online, such as privacy, safety and confidentiality, during the first session and send some information beforehand.
